Night One
You leaned back in the chair, resting your feet on the desk. You were the new night guard for Freddy Fazbear's Family Diner, hoping to gain a few more bucks before summer ended. You glanced at the clock. 11:30 pm. You shift would start in half an hour. You spun lazily in the chair, your eyes spanning the cluttered "office" area. You almost jump out of your chair in surprise when a figure stepped through the door.
"Oh my gosh! You scared me! I wasn't expecting anyone else to show up." You exclaim, surprised. You study the person. He's a brunette, with deep blue eyes, and looks about 18 or 19. He's wearing a blue button up shirt that looks very official, and black pants. You have to admit, he's very cute.
He didn't reply, just scanned the small office space. You sat up straighter.
"Sorry about the mess, it was kind of like this when I got here." He nods slowly, walking slowly up to the desk.
"Yeah, I know. I was the night guard before you." He replies in a bored tone. You nod, starting to feel uncomfortable. Why exactly is this guy even here?
"Mind telling me your name?" You ask pointedly. His vacant expression brightens suddenly.
"Oh, of course! I'm Mike. Mike Schmidt." He holds out his hand, smiling.
"I'm (Y/N)." You say, smiling back. You take his hand, shaking it. His hand lingers with yours a few moments longer than a normal handshake should last, until finally, blushing, you pulled your  hand away.
"So...Mike, why'd you leave? Did you quit?" You ask, leaning slightly against the messy desk.
He frowned, his eyes darkening again.
"I didn't quit. I was fired." He says quietly, his gaze lowered to he ground.
"What for?" You perked up at fired. Who could get fired from being night guard for a children's entertainment place and family diner?
"For tampering with animatronics." He muttered.
You thought about the diner's mascots, Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica. You thought there might've been one in Pirate's Cove, but you couldn't remember, that area had been out of order for a while now. Honestly, the animatronics were pretty creepy looking, and you never really enjoyed being around them. There was always something a little "off" about them. The awkward movements onstage, the random outbursts that weren't programmed in them, their general being. Who in their right mind would want to start messing around with their parts?
"Did you? Tamper with them?" You mumble.
Mike shakes his head. "No! Those things are, are evil. Anyone who is around them always gets hurt. You wouldn't get me near them for a million dollars!" He says, almost angrily. You're silent, slightly appalled by what he just said.
The animatronics were...evil? Sure, they were odd. Creepy, even. But evil? Mike must've been exaggerating.
"Tampering with them is just their excuse. A cover up. It's the same excuse they'll use for when they fire you." Mike growled angrily.
You blinked. "They're going to fire me?" Mike nodded. "You actually thought this was a normal Summer job? Ha. No, you have no idea what you're in for. You're only here for five days. And that's if you survive."
"If? Do you get a lot of break ins or something?" You squeak out.
"Break ins? Who'd want to break in to Freddy Fazbear's Family Diner? No, we have possessed animatronics instead." Mike smiled slightly, as if something about that was funny.
   You nod slowly, nervous now.
"Okay...." You say, not entirely believing what he was saying.
"I know, you probably don't believe me. But just wait. Once your shift starts, you'll believe me."
All you do is nod in reply. As crazy as it all sounds, he wouldn't have come all the way here in the middle of the night and make up a whole story just to prank you. Well, hopefully not.
Mike is silent, looking as if he's thinking deeply about something. You frown. If what he said was true, then you'd be spending the night with psychotic animatronics, which really isn't something you'd like to do alone.
"Well, maybe you could stay and help me. At least for tonight. Since, you know. You were the previous night guard and know what to expect." You ask.
He grins. "Yeah! I mean, sure. Just until you figure out what to do. It'll be fun, you'll see." His deep blue eyes sparkle in anticipation.
Fun? Fun isn't exactly your choice word for the situation, but you find yourself smiling back.
Mike pulls up a spare chair next to you, and the clock strikes 12.
"Alright, 12 am. All we have to do is survive until 6 am. Now, what you'll want to do is check the stage. Bonnie and Chica will probably be roaming tonight. Just make sure they both don't end up at the doors, because they'll screw them up so one doesn't close. Freddy won't be out until 4, maybe 5 am. Make sure you conserve power until then. Oh, also, in Pirate's Cove, there's this pesky little guy named Foxy. The sign says "Out of Order", but, don't believe it. He probably won't be out the first night, though. You'll also want to..."
You smile, watching Mike go on about Foxy. His eyes are bright, his voice animated, and he's talking with his hands as well. He's a bit strange, this Mike, but interesting. And really cute.
   Your shift had only begun.
   Night 2
You enter the office, grinning. You survived the previous night. Before you left, you and Mike exchanged numbers and went your separate ways, but you were excited to see him again.
You still can't believe everything he said was true. It was almost unbelievable.
You sat in your chair and glanced at the clock. 11:45 pm. You flicked through the cameras absentmindedly, checking the stage (all the animatronics were still there) and lingered on Pirate's Cove.
Like Mike said, the mysterious Foxy did not make an appearance last night. You were anxious to see what he looked like.
"Miss me?" Mike walked in, arms open.
"Oh hey Mike!" You smiled, glancing up. He was wearing the exact same thing as yesterday.
"Do you wear the same thing every day?" You gaped, incredulous.
"Of course! I dress to impress!" He replied, his arms still open.
"And who exactly are you trying to impress? Bonnie?" You smirked.
"Nah, you. Bonnie's a guy anyway." Mike replied.
You felt your face get hot with embarrassment, then blinked.
   "Wait, Bonnie's a guy?"
Mike rolled his eyes. "Yes. Didn't we already go over this?  Anyway, where's my hug?"
"We didn't, but okay..." You got up and hugged him. It was awkward, and you immediately pulled away, blushing. You sat down in your seat.
"By the way, Bonnie, Freddy, and Foxy are all male. Chica's the only female." Mike said, sitting next to you.
   "Sexist." You replied smartly.
"No, if Freddy's was sexist, there'd be no female animatronics." Mike pointed out.
   "True." You relied, nodding.
   The clock struck 12.
"Who's your favorite animatronic?" Mike asked as you flicked from Pirate's Cove to the stage.
"Um...probably Bonnie. I dunno. I haven't really actually thought about it. I've been more concerned with......oh, staying alive." You muttered, flicking through the other areas.
"Bonnie? Bonnie's such a pain! Why do you like him?"  Mike gaped.
"He's purple?" You replied, not really paying attention to the conversation.
"Oh wow. Great reasoning there. He's purple." Mike scoffed.
"What's wrong with me liking him because he's purple?" You shot back, an eyebrow raised.
"It's just so, I don't know, shallow?" Mike retorted, half-laughing.
"Shallow? Well, who's your favorite then?" You accused.
"Well, I always thought Freddy was pretty cool."
"Freddy? Freddy's an ass!" You grumbled.
   "Correction. He's badass." Mike grinned.
"Check the east door." Was your reply, seeing that Chica was dangerously close.
Mike flicked light on, but no one was there.
After a few more moments of silence, Mike asked, "Can I look?"
   "No."
   "Please?"
"No." You liked checking the cameras more than monitoring the doors. It was less nerve-wracking, in your opinion. You always felt nervous that you'd mess up and not close the door in time.
"Alright then." Mike put his feet on the desk, and started to hum Freddy's song.
You keep flicking through the cameras, noting that Chica moved to the Party Room and that Bonnie was in the Spare Parts Room.
   Mike keeps humming.
You flick to the stage, but Freddy hasn't moved. Yet.
You check back at Pirate's Cove, but still, nothing was happening.
   Mike hummed louder.
"You're doing that on purpose, aren't you?" You glare at him.
"What? Me? No, never." Mike smiled mischievously.
"You're distracting me. And if you distract me, someone might get through the door." You focused back on the cameras.
"Well, I'd gladly risk my life to save yours, and die a hero's death if that did happen." Mike stopped humming, and took his feet off the desk.
"Well, I'd rather that not have happen, as heroic as it may be." You smiled though.
Then, almost out of nowhere, Mike leaned over a kissed your cheek.
"You're adorable when you're annoyed." Mike said, and resumed humming.
You felt a bright red blush spreading across your face as the clock struck 1 am.

Night 3
You glanced at the clock, worried. It was 11:50 pm, and Mike still wasn't here. Was he okay? Did the animatronics wake up early? Was he not coming? You took a deep breath. You needed to calm. Down. You tapped your fingers on the desk. Nervous habit.
   "Hi." Mike walked in, grinning.
"Mike! I was so worried!" You exclaim, jumping up and hugging him.
"Now this is a hug." Mark wrapped his arms around you, holding you close.
After a moment, you turned and sat down.
"Did I hear wrong or did you say you were worried about me?" Mike asks, pompous.
You blushed. "Well, as worried as I'd be about a co-worker. Can't have you missing work, now, can we?"
"Sure. I totally believe that." Mike narrowed his eyes playfully.
2 AM
You checked the camera, then stopped at Pirate's Cove. Foxy was peering out at you from behind the curtain.
   "Foxy's out." You murmur softly.
Mike, who was pacing behind you, stopped.
"Really." He walked up behind you, and peered at the cameras. He was so close to you, you could feel his breath on your neck.
   "Yeah, look."
"I am." Mike said softly, gazing at you.
You held his gaze, your heart thumping so loudly you swore Mike could hear it. Then, Mike leaned closer, and you find yourself leaning closer, and then....
"Crap!" You shouted, slamming the door just in time. Foxy banged his hook against the door, the metal echoing in the room.
Mike looked away. You smiled to yourself, wondering what would've happened if Foxy hadn't interrupted.
   6 AM
All was silent. After Foxy's interruption, there was an awkward air in the room and you hadn't spoken after that.
   You sighed.
"Well, that was....frustrating. Um, I'm gonna go. Call me. Or text me. Or whatever. See you tomorrow."
You said, getting up.
"Y/N, wait." Mike grabbed your arm.
"Let me go, Mike." You growled, trying to wrench your arm away.
"Not until you answer me. Do you like me?"
"No! I mean, yes. It's just....ugh! Why'd you have to put me on the spot like this? I do. I really do. Okay?" You voice comes out a squeaky whisper.
Mike is silent, but releases your arm.
"Look, I should g-" You start, but are cut off when Mike presses you against the wall, kissing you. Softly, at first, then with more  pressure. At first, you're surprised, but then relax, and find yourself kissing him back.
